About Me

SweetDreams: Sweet Dreams Cakes started when I decided to make a "fun" cake for my daughter's 5th birthday! Everyone loved it, and my friends started ordering cakes from me for their children's birthdays. And here we are, making cakes for birthdays, showers, wedding and other special occassions and loving every minute of it!

Scheduling

All Sweet Dreams Cakes are unique and made to order for your special occassion. Wedding cake and large shower/birthday cake orders should be placed as early as possibel to ensure your desired weekend is available, orders can, however, be done with as little as one week's notice, if your desired date is still open.

Wedding Cakes

Wedding cakes start at $4.50/serving. This cost will include a tasting, delivery and set up and a “fresh” anniversary cake for the bride and groom on their 1 year anniversary.

This price is for sponge cake, with butter cream frosting/filling and fondant covering and design.
Additional fees will be individually assessed for fillings, fresh fruits and intricate designs and hand-made flowers
Tasting
A tasting will consist of up to four flavors or cake, frosting (and filling if necessary) for up to four people. The flavors or cake and/or frosting can come from the bride and groom or can be suggested by Sweet Dreams Cakes.
We limit the number of flavors and tasters because too many choices and opinions can result in confusion rather than cohesion!
While your tasting is complimentary, we ask that, if necessary, you cancel or reschedule your tasting no less than three days prior to your appointment. Your taste-test cakes will be made especially for you. This is to make sure that nothing is wasted unnecessarily.
Delivery and Set Up
Due to the size and intricacy of wedding cakes, they must be delivered and set up by an associate of Sweet Dreams Cakes. Confirmation of venue and delivery time at least one week before the event is essential to ensure that your cake is delivered on time and to the correct location on your special day
Anniversary Cake
Rather than save a cake for a year, a fresh, six inch round cake will be our gift to the bride and groom on their one year anniversary.
Placing your order two weeks prior to your anniversary will ensure a happy celebration of one year together with a delicious and fresh creation from our bakery.
Design
At the time of the tasting, the bride and groom should bring any items (colors, invitations, flowers, dress, etc.) that they would like to see represented on their cake. A rendering of the cake design will be made and sent to the couple before final approval.
Ordering your cake
Your order should be placed as soon as possible to ensure that there is room on our books for your cake. Upon final approval of your cake and cost, a 50% deposit will be required to secure your date. The remainder of the cost will be due two weeks prior to the date.
